People often ask us, “Why did you name your company Muriel?” Muriel was more than just a name to us—it was a person, a family friend who left a lasting impression on us as young girls. Muriel was fearless and uplifting, the kind of person who radiated optimism and joy. She was the ultimate cheerleader, the one who truly “got you” and encouraged you to dream big and never give up. She taught us to embrace life’s challenges and celebrate its beauty, and her charisma and warmth have stayed with us ever since.

 

We also fell in love with the meaning of her name: “shining sea.” To us, it symbolizes strength and independence, the grace to navigate both life’s calm and stormy waters.
